A size limit, with a result you can check
Choose one still JPG, PNG or WebP, then set the maximum file size. Compression starts only when you choose Compress image. Dimensions stay the same unless you allow resizing.
Will the image be exactly 200 KB?
No. The target is an upper limit, not an exact size. 1 KB means 1,000 bytes. A successful result is checked against the actual byte limit before a download is offered.
What if my image cannot meet the limit?
Allow resizing, raise the limit, or choose a smaller image. There is a limit to how far this tool will reduce quality and dimensions. A file above your selected limit is never shown as a successful result.
What happens to transparent areas?
The output is JPG, which has no transparency. Transparent PNG and WebP areas become white. Check the preview before using the result. Original metadata is not copied to the JPG.
Does this guarantee another website will accept my image?
No. Other websites may require specific dimensions, backgrounds, formats or content. This tool checks only its own output and size limit.
How do I save the JPG on my phone?
Try Download JPG. If your browser opens a preview instead, use Open JPG and the browser’s save or share menu. The tool cannot confirm whether your device saved the file.
